The online journal bringing to life the real experiences of a Project Professional.
Despite all the talk of pressure and deadlines there is always light at the end of the tunnel. Just as in any difficult situation we go through in life, every challenge we face has an end to it. Eventually we find ourselves in a space of serenity, almost a vacuum free from daily stress.
When this happens we have reached the calm after the storm, which can be a strangely uncomfortable position to find ourselves in since our comfort zone has shifted as we accept the midst of the storm to be the norm.
Regardless, what a pleasure it is to enter the quiet zone even if it is but for a short time.
Take opportunity to catch up on your housekeeping, and get on top of all those tasks which have fallen down the priority list.
A little bit of headspace to think, plan and consider strategies, provide care and growth to the team and generally take a proactive approach to management all come to the fore as we raise our head above the parapet.
It is important to take advantage of the quiet zone and the benefits it can generate but do not relax too much and drop your guard because the next storm may not be too far away.
